Building Your RCFE Dream Team: Strategic Hiring, Training, and Retention

This course is designed exclusively for California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) administrators who are navigating the most challenging staffing environment in recent memory. With high turnover, increased competition from large corporate providers, and the ongoing struggle to attract and retain qualified caregivers, administrators face daily operational and compliance risks. This course provides actionable strategies to build a stable, committed care team—without relying on high wages or costly incentives.

Grounded in the latest Title 22 CCR Division 6 requirements and anchored to federal compliance standards (CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, SAMHSA), this course moves beyond generic HR advice. Participants will learn how to craft job postings that attract mission-driven candidates, conduct interviews that reveal true fit and predict longevity, and implement onboarding and retention practices proven to reduce early turnover. Special focus is given to non-monetary motivators—such as recognition, growth opportunities, and workplace culture—that are critical for small, independent RCFEs. Administrators will leave with practical checklists, frameworks for career advancement, and low-cost recognition systems that can be implemented immediately. This course is essential for RCFE administrators seeking to reduce burnout, lower hiring costs, and create a high-performing, person-centered care team that meets both regulatory and quality standards.
