Emergency Response, Crisis Programs, Transportation & Safety Collaboration for ARF Administrators

When a wildfire evacuation order arrives at 2 a.m. or a resident's behavioral crisis escalates to a 5150, an unprepared ARF administrator is not just ineffective they are a liability. This 2-hour course builds administrator-level emergency preparedness and crisis response competency grounded in the ARF COK Emergency Intervention Non-Violent category and Title 22 § 87212 disaster planning requirements. You will develop a compliant emergency and disaster plan for your ARF, understand evacuation drill requirements (frequency, documentation, special-needs resident protocols), and establish collaboration agreements with local police, fire departments, and emergency medical response teams. The course covers crisis program resources named in the ARF COK — CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), Pro-ACT, PCMA, and MANDT — and clarifies administrator oversight responsibilities for staff who hold these certifications. Transportation compliance, emergency transportation arrangements, and vehicle safety standards for residents with mobility limitations are also addressed. COK Area: Community & Support Services — Emergency Plans; Emergency Intervention Non-Violent — Crisis Programs, Police/Fire Collaboration.
