State Requirements

40 hours of training for new caregivers, as mandated by Title 22. Includes 16 hours of hands-on training to be completed in the first four weeks of employment.

Pre-Service Training

20 hours must be completed before caregivers work independently, including: 
  • 6 hours of dementia care.
  • 4 hours of postural supports, restricted conditions, and hospice care.
